Album: Spring Retreat 2007

After a few long, tiring weeks of rehearsing and building abdominal strength, the men of Last Call took a long, overnight trek to King Ferry to see Brian Stilwell's house. It was big, and his parents made lots of brownies for us, with witty sayings on them. Nemo taught choreography and Jon taught twentysomething songs or something like that. Snacks took the form of chili and candy, but the piece de resistance, Dinner, was on Jasen. That man can cook some daaaaaamn fine lasagna. With no, single, OR doublemeat. We sang Glorybound, among other random songs, including a never-before and never-again sung version of SNL's XXXX in a box.

After dinner, we all headed upstairs to embark on some super Last Call bonding-sexy time. Asking questions to ourselves like "What makes a good gig, What makes a good rehearsal, What should Last Call STOP, START, or CONTINUE" and, the most important question of all, "Why Last Call", we stayed up until far too late, and used far too many colored sharpies. We learned a lot about what we want to accomplish as a group, and how we can go about it. We also learned that Sang has really, really, ridiculously good hand-writing. After some high-quality bonding, the evening ended and the callboys returned to civilization. We'll let some stories be told by the pictures and we'll share some of work at Straight Up XII. As for the rest, you'd have to ask Brian's pet dingo, Sally.
